Christmas Market Elves scene illustration for a new booth

Near the end of last year, I had to work on another beautiful illustration. The project is from October 2022, a project that I enjoyed to work on very much. I had to illustrate some happy, funny and friendly looking Christmas Elves. This Christmas Market Elves scene had to cover the back of the Christmas Market booth of Michael Korn Schaustellerbetrieb – Bayreuth. The elves had to eat/share chocolate covered fruits, roasted almonds, popcorn, gingerbread hearts, red caramel apples, mulled wine. More than 170 hours of work. The final result was printed on panels with a total size of 13 meters long and 2 meters high.

I am very proud of the fact that a lot of people could admire my work at the Christmas Market.

KATZE POSE’s image on the web, five new illustrations

Why did I decided to refresh KATZE POSE’s image on the web?

Since March 2020, we live in strange and crazy times. I know how difficult it has been for everyone, so far, to manage their work, creation, their own business or relationships with friends.

KATZE POSE was not spared from trouble. The restriction of activity came as a normal reaction in this world crisis. It’s as if time has stood still, like in a movie with great special effects. Of course, no one wants to give up. I think this crisis will make us stronger in the end.

I have decided that October 2021 will be the time when things return to normal for KATZE POSE. And that’s why I decided to refresh KATZE POSE’s image on the web. I present you a series of five digital illustrations, meant to change our image with which you have been accustomed on katze.ro.

New Booth Design Project

This is a project from May 2019. I was asked to create the design for a new booth, for Michael Korn Schaustellerbetrieb – Bayreuth, www.Korn-Bayreuth.de. The booth had to be ready at the opening of the festival called “Bayreuther Volksfest”. You can find info about the festival on www.bayreuth-tourismus.de or on Facebook.

I had photos of the existing items, some of them hand-painted. I also received the color code used in the old design. I had to rebuild and draw the elements I used. I followed the project sketch, and the result is spectacular.

A successful project! Thank you Lisa and Michael for the opportunity!

Wombat

Did you know that Australian native marsupial female Wombat has a backward-facing pouch? So the dirt will not enter over the young one.

Did you know that Wombat has around 1 meter in length? The size of a small bear.

Can you guess what is it leaving behind, of a cubic shape?

Scottish Fold

This was the third design proposal for a t-shirt. The request was for a giant Scottish Fold cat. This is the final drawing. It looks a little bit evil, but this is the Scottish Fold Blue. You must know that this cat has become obsessive for me. Orange eyes, hmm…

Wolf

It is a design proposal for a shirt. Wolf, pencil drawing, digitally colored, watercolor style.

2.00 AM. I thought to start a sketch with pencil on paper. HB first. Then I felt in need for 2B. Some lines here and there. Then I found myself hatching with 4B, thinking “What are you doing? It is supposed to be watercolor style!”. Scanned the paper, digitally added color. Turquoise, gray and light brown. Maybe it was the previously morning coffee. Maybe it was to much chocolate. Or maybe it was the wine. This is what it came out.

Pretty nice, don’t you think?
